A lot of places advertise couples massage and deliver two bookings in adjacent rooms. That is not this. The room is built for two — two tables side by side, one masseuse each, the same lighting, the same music, the same pace.

You stay together the whole time. You can see and hear each other throughout, which is the entire point and also the thing worth thinking about before you book. It is a shared experience rather than two private ones.

The most common reason couples give for booking is that it is easier to try something new together than for one person to go alone and report back. There is no one going first and no one waiting outside. Whatever it turns out to be, it happens to both of you at the same time.

It works for couples who have done this before and for couples who have not. Say which you are when you book — the conversation beforehand is longer for first-timers and that is exactly as it should be.

Talk about it first, properly. This is the one treatment where we genuinely recommend a conversation between the two of you beforehand, not because anything difficult happens but because arriving with different expectations is the only way this goes badly.

The specific thing worth agreeing in advance: how much interaction each of you wants, and whether you are comfortable with the other watching. There is no right answer and we will run it however you say, but deciding at the door with two masseuses waiting is not the moment.
